Is the Leatherback Sea Turtle Endangered???

    The leatherback is endangered. People have never seen a numerous amount of leatherbacks. The turtles main diet is jellyfish. This is the reason why so many leatherbacks die. they mistake plastic trash is prey. When the turtles swallow the plastic they suffocate (choke). In a study, more than 50% of leatherback sea turtles has plastic (cellophane). Every year, 11,000 leatherbacks is the average number. People catch females returning after laying their eggs.
