DEFINITION:
Humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air.
Humidity plays a big part in the world's agriculture.
It determines things such as soil characteristics and evaporation rates.
It also absorbs threatening rays of solar radiation! :0 WOW!
Water vapor, or humidity, appears in high levels
closer to the ground because the air closer to the ground is warmer, so
it expands, but the colder air above comes together, so the water vapor
doesn't fit in the air as a gas.
In order for people to measure humidity, a hygrometer
is used. Other methods of measuring humidity are with psychrometers and
fiber hygrometers. In some cases, both are used.
Water vapor can be found in three different states:
gas, water droplets, and water. Water vapor is formed when the wind blows
over the sea, and because of evaporation. <just a little fact for you
interested readers, when water vapor changes, it is called condensation
:0>
In brief, humidity is highly underestimated because
it plays such a big role on the earth. It just goes to show you that weather
is an amazing and important part of everyone's life, since it affects our
lifestyle.
